Early mornings in Kagoshima start in silence with mist in the fields, shading the leaves just enough. The soil, fed by centuries of volcanic ash, becomes a natural fertilizer. Sakurajima is Kagoshima’s stratovolcano, the most active volcano in Japan. This rare terroir gives our matcha its signature vibrance and soft, earthy sweetness. Cultivar
Okumidori is a rare Japanese tea cultivar known for its smooth, naturally sweet profile. Unlike common cultivars, it’s harder to grow and even rarer to find in organic form. Less than 1% of farms in Japan produce certified organic Okumidori. Grown without shortcuts—just pure craftsmanship and volcanic soil.
